Ask-the-Experts-Doors_FB-1024x538.jpgQuestion:What is the difference between Nominal Door Size and Exact Door Size? Answer:Nominal Door size is essentially the frame opening or frame size. For example when we refer to a 36” x 84” door or frame we are typically referring to the nominal size. The exact size of the door is undersized to suit the nominal width and height of the frame. Keeping with the example size noted above, the exact door size would be 35-3/4” x 83-1/8” with a nominal size or frame size of 36” x 84”.In addition to a broad offering of product and service solutions, IDN offers pre-sale and post-sale technical support.  The benefit to you is that we make security simple.  Whether your task is related to high-security systems, electronic access control, door installation, or other, our experts are here to assist.  Just let us know how we can help. Do you have a question, or need a quote?
