The Kaba PowerPlex 2000 Series are standalone electronic pushbutton locks with the feature of being battery-less and including no wires for installation. By the use of PowerStar⢠technology, the PowerPlex 2000 Series circumvent the need of power supplies, wires or batteries by generating their own power with every turn of the lever. The PowerPlex 2000 Series is 3-hour UL/cUL fire-rated and ANSI/BHMA Garde 1 certified lock giving it a wide range of uses meeting most building code regulations.Applications for the Kaba PowerPlex 2000 Series includes usages where hardwiring is not an option or in buildings where the carbon footprint of the facility is at stake.

Lock PowerSelf PoweringâKabaâs PowerStar⢠technology supplies power for all electronic lock functions, including programming users at the keypad without ever having to change batteries. Once the first digit of a valid code is entered to âwake upâ the lock, the remainder of the code can be entered and access is granted. A full charge of the built-in super capacitors will last up to 10 weeks with no activity at the lock.
